EUGENE, Ore. – The inaugural beach volleyball season for Bushnell University came to an end on Friday morning as the Beacons lost in the CalPac Championship quarterfinals to Park University-Gilbert, 3-2.

Shay Coons claimed a convincing victory at No. 1, giving them their second win of the weekend over the Buccaneers. The Beacons also claimed the No. 3 victory, with
Halle Neumann and
Brooke Silvernail coming out on top after a pair of close losses on Thursday.

The Bushnell Beach Volleyball team finishes their debut campaign with a record of 1-15, having earned their first-ever victory on Thursday, defeating No. 10 Park-Gilbert in pool play.

Reflecting on the weekend, head coach
Kim Elgarico said, "We were thrilled to pick up our first win this weekend, against the No. 10 ranked team in the NAIA. We handled the elements and the new competition with so much heart and composure. I am so proud of every athlete for their fight and resiliency and we can't wait to use the experiences from our first season to show the conference who we are next year."
