With no other schools in the Cascade Collegiate Conference currently sponsoring the sport, Bushnell and Corban University play as associate members of the CalPac for Beach Volleyball, and will have their chance to qualify for the NAIA National Invitational this week.

The Beacons (0-12), earned the No. 6 overall seed and were placed in Pool "B" for the tournament's first day, alongside No. 2 seed Corban (12-3), No. 3 Park-Gilbert (9-6) and No. 7 Marymount (0-8).

Meet The Buccaneers – Bushnell will opener us against Park University from Gilbert, Arizona in their first match of pool play at 11:00 am on Thursday. The Pirates come into the tournament ranked No. 10 in the NAIA national coaches poll. Park is 9-6 on the season, including a 6-6 mark against four-year schools. They were 6-1 in CalPac Duals, with their only loss coming at the hands of Westcliff, currently ranked No. 3 in the NAIA.

Meet The Mariners – A possible second-dual opponent for the Beacons will be Marymount University, hailing out of Rancho Palos Verdes in Southern California. The Mariners will open up against Corban, with the winners and losers of both duals facing off at 3:00 pm. Like Bushnell, the Mariners are also looking for their first dual victory of the season. They have won five individual matches including once at No. 1, and twice at both No. 2 and No. 3. Marymount is a young program, their roster exclusively filled with freshmen and sophomores.

Tournament Field - Pool "A" will feature three teams: No. 1 seed and NAIA third-ranked Westcliff (13-1), No. 4 and NAIA 14th-ranked Benedictine-Mesa (7-5) and No. 5 Saint Katherine, the tournament hosts. Those teams play a round-robin schedule during pool play on Thursday.

For Friday's competition, the teams are re-seeded for a traditional single-elimination tournament bracket.
