EUGENE, Ore.– Nearly half of the Bushnell men's track & field athletes that were in action this weekend in Corvallis walked away with season bests as the Beacons competed at the Oregon State High Performance meet.
Â
In Friday's distances races, a pair of men made 20-second improvements on their own previous Cascade Collegiate Conference qualifying times. First, sophomore
Christopher Rosebrook (pictured) ran a lifetime PR of 10:04.70 in the 3000m Steeplechase. Later that evening,
Linus Rueegger broke the 33-minute barrier for the first time in the 100000m, coming in at 32:39.72.
Â
Jaron Carter made improvements in both of his sprint events. On Friday, he shaved seven one-hundrenths off of his team-leading 200m time (22.32) and on Saturday he took fourth place in the 100m, taking 0.13 seconds off of his previous season best as he ran a 10.86.
Â
Saturday also saw Justin Rodgers improve on his 110m hurdle time, nearly breaking 18-seconds for the first time as he finished at 18.01.
Â
The Bushnell men's track & field team will be back in action next weekend, splitting their time between two events in their final runup to the CCC championships. Select members will compete on Friday in Eugene at the Oregon Twilight, while others will run on Saturday at the Linfield Open.Â
