Beacons Swept by Pair of DI Opponents

SALEM, Ore. - Bushnell closed out the Northwest Invitational on Saturday, taking on a pair of NCAA Division I opponents as they fell to the University of Portland and Boise State, by a pair of 5-0 scores.

Once again, multiple Bushnell pairs took their opponents to three sets on Saturday. Jessica Northcutt and Camille Guerrero went three with UP's No. 2 two team in the morning, while Brooke Silvernail and Anessa Stotts (pictured) went the distance in the No. 5 slot with Boise State.

Head Coach Kim Elgarico said, "We had the full gamut of weather today and played hard through it all, giving the DI schools a fight at each match up. I am so proud of the progress we are making both as individuals and as a team. Each dual gets us closer to where we want to be.

Next up for the Beacons will be the first ever Bushnell Beach Volleyball home games, taking place at 2:00 pm on Friday against Corban University at Amazon Park.
