OLYMPIA, Wash. – The visiting Bushnell University women's soccer team fell 2-0 to the Evergreen State College in Saturday afternoon's Cascade Collegiate Conference matchup.

The Beacons (0-12, 0-7 CCC) outshot the Geoducks (1-7-2, 1-5-1) but were unable to find the net. Bushnell finished with a 15-13 edge in shots, 9-7 on frame. The nine shots on goal were a season-high for the Beacons.

Evergreen took an early lead after a goal from Peyton Rhyne in the fifth minute of action. Brie Dell scored in the 62
nd minute to make it a 2-0 game and the Geoducks held on to secure their first win of the season.

Amity Brookshire got the start in goal for Evergreen, recording nine saves on the contest.

The Beacons were led by five shots apiece from
Dejah Wallot and
Emily Puita.

Bushnell takes on the University of Providence (Oct. 14) and Rocky Mountain College (Oct. 15) in the final road contests of the conference slate.
