EUGENE, Ore. – The final meet of the regular season took place on Friday at the Oregon Twilight and saw senior
Logan Oakerman become the first discus thrower in school history to hit an NAIA "B" qualification.

Oakerman took fourth place in the event with a throw of 47.71m, a new school record. He cleared the NAIA's provisional qualification standard by four inches and became the No. 1 ranked discus thrower in the Cascade Collegiate Conference.

Fresh off his third CCC qualification on Thursday in the long jump,
Jaron Carter competed in the 100m run at Hayward and took third place at 11.00 seconds flat.

For the women,
Shay Coons and
Jenae Usselman competed in the Javelin. Coons came in with a toss of 38.71m, slightly ahead of Usselman (38.01m).

Bushnell now heads to the CCC Championship, beginning Friday in La Grande.
