Â

Bushnell honored seven seniors in a pre-game ceremony on Monday.
Â
Taylor Doyle
Â
Taylor has been with the Beacons for two seasons and has started all 28 games the team has played in that time. As a junior last season she was named the Most Valuable Newcomer by her teammates. Coach Flores said, "Taylor is one of those players that coaches want on their team. When I met her on her recruiting visit, I thought she didn't talk at all. Now I can't get her to be quiet. Taylor shows up every day and works hard. When we could have recruits stay on campus, Taylor was my go to person. She is a great example of what Bushnell is all about. I have never had a player that would say 'Thank You Benny,' after every practice. So Taylor, I just want to say, Thank YOU."
Â
Sierra Coloma
Â
Sierra has been with the Beacons for three seasons and has played in 27 games. As a freshman she scored three goals. She is an Academic All-CCC selection and Daktronics-NAIA National Scholar Athlete. Coach Flores said, "Sierra is a great example of 'Beacon Strong'. In her junior year she had a bad injury and it was a long road back. Sierra is a strong and determined young woman. She not only made it back, but she is one of the leaders of our team. I am looking forward to see what Sierra will accomplish in the future. I just hope that she will fly me around when she gets her pilots license!"
Â
Aracely Marks
Â
Aracely has been with the Beacons for three seasons and has played in 23 games. She is an Academic All-CCC selection and Daktronics-NAIA National Scholar Athlete. Coach Flores said, "Cely is the type of player that all coaches love to have. She is a great student, player and person. I like to think of Cely as Rocky Balboa. You can knock her down but she just keeps getting up. She has had a tough time with injuries but she keeps coming back. Cely is one of the team captains and leaders. The team was so excited to hear that she got into Med School. They all want her to be their doctor. Cely, thank you for being a great example for our young players."
Â
Dre Davids
Â
Dre has played four seasons with the Beacons with her first coming back in 2015. She has played in 45 games for the Beacons. Coach Flores said, "After taking some time off, Dre came back the year for one more season and I am so excited that she did. Dre was in the co-pilot seat in the van on some away trips this year and I quickly became a huge fan. Dre is one of the hardest working players on the team. I know that her hard work and great sense of humor is going to take her to huge success in the future."
Â
Makenna Hadaller
Â
Makenna has been a goalkeeper for the Beacons for four seasons. In that time, she has played in 26 games. She ranks fifth on the career record lists for minutes played with over 1900, and for saves with over 155. Coach Flores said, "Makenna has been a staple of the program for four years. Goalies are a different breed. They put their bodies through a lot to play in the goal. Makenna was a real difference maker. Her game against George Fox last year was a sight to see. She kept us in the game by making several acrobatic saves. I know that Makenna is going to accomplish great things in the near future."
Â
Casandra Marquez
Â
Cassandra has played four seasons with the Beacons and has seen action in 28 games. Her career-high came in 2018 when she played 11 games and she played her tenth game of the 2020 season today. Coach Flores said, "Cass is a great example of what happens when you put in hard work. She came into camp in the best shape that I have ever seen her and she is playing her best soccer this year. Cass is one of the hardest workers on the team, and I know that she will be successful in the future."
Â
Rachel Rhoads
Â
Rachel has been with the Beacons for four seasons, splitting time in 37 games between the field and goalie box. Coach Benny said-, "I met Rachel when I was the men's coach. We did our Beacon Sports Camp in the summer and Rachel volunteered at the camp. I knew I would like her when we were playing a game called World Cup and she was running over these eight and nine-year-old boys and girls to win. Last summer she had an injury and I thought there was no way for her to get back and play this year. Rachel is one determined young woman. She told me she would be back for conference, and she made it back. I am excited to see what Rachel accomplishes in the near future."
