ASHLAND, Ore. – Jarrett Bryant hit the go-ahead three with 49 seconds on the clock as the Bushnell University men's basketball team overcame a 10-point halftime deficit to earn a 76-71 victory over host Southern Oregon University in Cascade Collegiate Conference action on Friday night.

Bushnell snaps a four-game skid with the win, improving to 4-7 overall and 2-2 in conference play.

The Beacons trailed 29-28 with five minutes to go in the first half before the Raiders used an 11-2 run to take a 40-30 lead into the break. SOU shot 57.1% from the field in the opening half, while Bushnell made 36.4%.

The Beacons rewrote the script in the second half, shooting 55.2% from the floor, while holding the Raiders to 30.8%.

Bushnell shifted the momentum midway through the second half thanks in part to Bryant and
Luke Smith combining for 24 points in the period. Trailing 66-59, Bryant scored six straight points followed by a three from
Kaden Sand to close a 9-0 Beacon run and grab a 68-66 lead with four minutes to go. Â

The Beacons and Raiders exchanged the lead three more times before Bryant hit the go-ahead three for the 73-71 advantage and the final lead change of the night.
Logan Sand hit one of two free throws to make it a three-point game before the Raiders missed a pair of game-tying attempts from deep.
Stevie Schlabach sealed it at 76-71 with a pair of free throws. Â

Eddie Alexander said, "If I was giving out a player of the game, it would go to Logan. He had to carry us at the point tonight with Dray out. Jarrett stepped up and hit some clutch shots at the end of the game, but it was Stevie who we called a play for when we were struggling, and once he knocked it down, we found new life."

Kaden Sand led the Beacons in scoring with 17 points. Bryant finished with 15 points on 6-for-10 shooting, with 13 coming in the second half. Schlabach added 14 points, six rebounds and two blocks. Smith recorded 13 points with six rebounds, while
Dillon Young posted 10 points to put five Beacons in double digits.

Logan Sand played a key role in the victory as he finished with seven points, led the team with eight rebounds and recorded a season-high seven assists. Â

Southern Oregon (4-8, 1-3 CCC) was led by Josh Meyer, who recorded a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Atmar Mundu added 15 points off the bench for the Raiders.
