Men's Cross Picked to Finish Seventh

EUGENE, Ore. – The Bushnell University men's cross country team has been picked to finish seventh in the Cascade Collegiate Conference, according to a recent poll of the CCC head coaches.

The Beacons, who finished in sixth place in 2019, scored 51 points in the poll for seventh, close behind the 53 points of sixth-place Northwest University.

Conference newcomer Lewis-Clark State College, coming over to the CCC from the Frontier Conference, claimed the top spot and nine first-place votes. The Warriors won the Frontier last season and took third-place overall at the NAIA National Championships. They return all seven runners from that NAIA roster including three All-Americans. Defending CCC Champion College of Idaho was second, Southern Oregon was third while Oregon Tech and Eastern Oregon followed.

Corban University was eighth followed by Warner Pacific, Walla Walla, and Multnomah to round out the poll.

After COVID-19 pushed back the start of the cross country season, the CCC Cross Country Championship Meet will take place on March 26, 2021 in Klamath Falls, Ore.
