Klamath Falls, Ore. - The Northwest Christian University men's basketball team fell to No.5 Oregon Tech University 112-91 on Friday night.
The Beacons led by as much as nine in the first half yet found themselves trailing 54-39 going into halftime. In the second half the Beacons faced an OIT team that struggled to miss as they shot 67% from the field and 86% from beyond the arc.
Ernest Ugoagu led the Beacons (9-9, 4-4 CCC) with 24 points, seven rebounds, and three assists while freshmen
Kaden Sand and
Stevie Schlabach scored 15 points apiece.
DyShawn Hobson added 11 points on 4-4 shooting and 3-3 from beyond the arc.
Seth Erickson led the Owls (15-3, 5-3) with 27 points and seven rebounds on 11-of-16 shooting from the field while Mitch Fink added 23 points and seven assists. Harrison Steiger added 18 points in the win.
The Beacons will look to bounce back tomorrow on the road as they take on Southern Oregon University at 7:30pm.
