EUGENE, Ore. – For just the second time in NCU history, a relay team has qualified for the NAIA National Championship as the women's 4x800m relay team cleared the national automatic standard at the Linfield Open.
 
Seniors Bri Jury and Emily Moon were joined by junior Anika Rasubala and sophomore Moriah Duenich as they ran a 9:23.55 to come in just 5/100ths of a second under the qualifying mark. It was the second-fastest time in school history, joining the national qualifying team from 2016 which also included Moon during her freshman season.
 
Additionally, two more conference qualifiers were hit in the final weekend of the regular season. Sophomore Tea Chatelain ran a 1:01.35 in the 400m while freshman Jordyn Edewards qualified for her second event, running the 100m dash in 13.02 seconds.
 
NCU also competed, in smaller numbers, at the Portland Twilight and freshman Cali Allen hit a season best in the javelin, throwing a 37.14m stick to finish second.
 
24 of NCU's 27 women on the active roster have qualified for the CCC Championships which kick off on Friday afternoon at Southern Oregon University.
