MONMOUTH and McMINNVILLE, Ore. – The NCU men's track & field team continued their 2019 campaign this week, traveling to a pair of wet weekend events at Western Oregon and Linfield.
Â
The Beacons saw a season-best 4x400m relay mark on Friday at the John Knight Twilight and one new ticket was punched to the Cascade Collegiate Conference championship on Saturday at the Jenn Boyman Invitational.
Â
The 4x400m relay team of
Josh McCluskey,
Antonio Campos-Perez,
Nicolas Delgado, and
Shawn Johnson finished second behind Corban, running a 3:25.54 to shave a quarter of a second off their season-best time.
Â
On Saturday,
Jayden Tucker added his second CCC qualification as he leaped 6.27m in the long jump. Already a qualifier in the Triple Jump, Tucker won his flight and finished sixth overall.
Â
The Beacons will be back in action this weekend in a "CCC Preview" of sorts as they head to the Southern Oregon Invitational and the site of next month's Conference Championships. Â
