EUGENE, Ore. – Four NCU women won five events on Saturday, taking advantage of their only "home" meet of the season at the Lane Community College Titan Twilight.
 
Christy Seaton led the way for the Beacons, claiming victory in both the 100m Hurdles and the Long Jump. Running her first collegiate 800m event, freshman Victoria Messer won by 16 seconds. Myah Harter added to her season highlight reel with a victory in the discus.
 
The final event win went to Savannah Proske who, for the second time in 24 hours, broke the NCU record in the high jump. After taking the record on Friday at the CCC Multi-Event Championship by clearing the bar at 1.61 meters, the freshman added another three centimeters to the record, hitting the NAIA's provisional standard at 1.64 meters.
 
Megan Van Marter also competed in the high jump, taking second place with a season-best leap of 1.54 meters.
 
Senior Bri Jury had a strong weekend as well. Already a conference qualifier in the 100m hurdles and 400m hurdles, she added a third with NCU's best time this season in the 400m run, coming in at 61 seconds flat. She is NCU's only qualifier in the event thus far.
 
The Beacons will split up next weekend for a pair of competitions. Those who qualify will head to Corvallis for the Oregon State High Performance meet while the NCU throws crew heads to Boise for the second year in a row to compete in the Boise State Border Clash.
