SALEM, Ore. – Sophomore Shawn Johnson and Josh McCluskey earned their first CCC qualifications on Saturday and senior Antonio Campos-Perez picked up his second as the sprinters highlighted the Willamette Invitational.

Already a qualifier in the 200m, Campos-Perez (pictured) added a 100m qualification as he ran NCU's best time of the season (11.28 seconds). Johnson (49.97) and McCluskey (50.90) qualified in the 400m run as Johnson finished third and beat out four other Cascade Conference competitors.

The 4x100 relay team of those three plus Nicolas Delgado set a new season best, running a 42.60 to win the race and sophomore Logan Oakerman increased his conference-qualifying mark in the discus to 39.27 meters.

NCU jumps were also showcased as sophomore transfer Brevin Russnogle broke a four-year old NCU record in the triple-jump, clearing 13.40 meters to finish second and improve his conference qualifying mark. He also came just under three feet shy of the NAIA "B" standard.
