PORTLAND, Ore. – Sophomore Jacob Truitt made history on Sunday, establishing a new NCU record as the first-ever Half-Marathon runner for the Beacons.
 
Truitt earned an NAIA "B" Standard, running 1:14:16 as he took 14th in a field of 974 runners.
 
His time also placed him second overall among 20-24 year olds, a field of 69.
