Raiders Top Beacons on the Road

The Northwest Christian University women's soccer lost in Cascade Conference play on Saturday as they fell to Southern Oregon 4-0. After a scoreless match going into halftime the Raiders were able to rattle off four straight goals in the second period to give them the road victory. 

The Raiders (5-5-2, 2-3-2 CCC) were led by early second half goals from Michala Denn and Madison Childers before Baylee Touey and Sarah Mauk iced the game scoring back to back goals in nearly a one-minute span. SOU outshot NCU 24-3 with a 15-1 shots on goal advantage.  

Isabell Briggs led the Beacons (2-13, 1-9) with the lone shot on goal attempt. Senior Goalkeeper Katie Hastings had 11 saves in the match.  

The Beacons will look to get back on track next Saturday, October 26 as they take on Corban University (5-3-1, 8-5-1) at the Les Schwab Sports Park at 12:30 pm.
