La Grande, Ore. - The Northwest Christian University volleyball team was able to take the first set on the road before dropping the following three sets as they fell to Eastern Oregon on Saturday, 25-20, 18-25, 21-25, 10-25.
Megan Bunn led the Mounties with a double-double as she posted 12 kills and 12 digs. Cambree Scott and Breanna Shaffer each contributed 11 kills for EOU while Madison Pilon added a game-high 37 assists in the victory. Eastern Oregon (21-1, 11-1 CCC) outkilled Northwest Christian, 48-41.
The Beacons (12-8, 4-7) were led by
Claire Salness and
Natalie Downes as they each contributed a team-high eight kills.
Taylor Gould added seven kills while
Makenna Northern had 32 assists in the loss.
NCU will look to bounce back Sunday as they travel to College Place, Washington to take on Walla Walla University at 1pm.
