Box Score Helena, Mt. - The Northwest Christian University women's soccer team lost 4-0 against Carroll College on Friday. The Saints ended the first half with a 3-0 lead before extending their lead with a solo goal in the second period to seal the victory.
Blair Stapleton started Carroll College (5-5-2, CCC 2-4-1) off early as she scored just one minute into the match. Stapleton's goal was followed by solo goals from Carysn Kraft and Melissa Dugger to end the first half. Kirsten Girolami added a second half goal to give the Saints a 4-0 victory. Carroll outshot the Beacons 20-1.
Kara Mathison led the Beacons (2-10, CCC 1-6) with the only shot attempt for the game while goalkeeper
Katie Hastings had four saves in the loss.
The Beacons will return to action on Saturday as they travel to Great Falls, Montana to take on the University of Providence at 3:30pm PST.
