SEATTLE, Wash. – The NCU track & field teams got the new Indoor season off to a strong start this weekend at the University of Washington Open at Demspey Indoor Stadium.

Senior Antonio Campos-Perez opened up the action on Friday when he ran a 23.88 in the 200m, taking 38th-place.

On Saturday, Shawn Johnson and Josh McCluskey began their season in the 400m. Johnson broke his own school-record in the event, taking 29th place with a time of 50.66. McCluskey set a PR as well, finishing 36th at 52.68 for the fifth-fastest time in school history.

Halona Jackson was the women's lone representative on the weekend, competing in the 60m event. The school-record holder took 36th-place, running eight-seconds flat to barely miss her standard of 7.99, set last season.

The 2019 Indoor season will continue next weekend when the Beacons travel to Nampa, Idaho for the Jackson's/Nike Boise State Indoor.
