Beacons Shutout by Oregon Tech

Box Score EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon Tech women's soccer team blanked Northwest Christian University 4-0 in a CCC match on Saturday night.
 
OIT (4-4, 2-1 CCC) scored all four goals prior to the half, drawing first blood in the sixth minute when Cassidy Gosvener took a pass from Brenna Bogle and put it through the right side of the net. The Owls remained on the attack for much of the first half, accumulating seven shots to the Beacons one.
 
Junior Forward Emily Hillestad scored two goals for the Owls. The first came on a long pass from Kylie Cowell which Hillestad completed in the 11th minute. She followed this up soon after in the 16th minute, drilling one from inside the box, as Bogle picked up her second assist
 
Taylee Miyamura scored OIT's final goal at 33:44. This time Hillestad provided the assist, as Miyamura scored on a header to the right of the keeper.
 
While Northwest Christian (1-6, 1-4) ramped up their defense in the second half, they weren't able to close the gap with the visitors from Klamath Falls. They also had a tough time getting to the net, not having their first shot on goal until the 88th minute.
 
The Beacons look to regroup when they host the Corban Warriors on Saturday October 6th at 7:00 p.m.
