EUGENE, Ore. – The Southern Oregon women's soccer team held NCU to just two shots-on-goal and walked away with a 1-0 victory on Friday in Cascade Collegiate Conference action.

The game remained scoreless throughout the first half despite the Raiders holding a 10-1 edge in shot attempts. It wasn't until the 68th minute that the visitors broke through with the game-winner as Aislinn Waite broke away from a pack of defenders and struck from just outside the 18.

SOU (5-4, 2-1 CCC) finished the game with a 17-7 advantage in shots and keeper Hanna Ceciliani picked up the shutout while making two saves.

The Beacons (1-6, 1-4 CCC) will return to the pitch on Saturday afternoon, taking on Oregon Tech at 4:30 pm.Â
