CORVALLIS, Ore. – In a historic weekend for the men's track & field team, five school records were broken as the Beacons competed at the Oregon State University High Performance meet at the Whyte Track & Field Center.
Levi Sparks (pictured) took over the 800m crown, making his double trip around the oval in 1:55.86.
Micah Jury improved his own 400m Hurdle record and also broke through with a new 110m Hurdle record as well. In the 110m he ran a 15.65 while in the 400m he came in at 56.61.
Matt Jones had a hand in two records on Saturday, breaking his own best in the 200m (22.11) while also joining
Antonio Campos-Perez, Joshua Chesnut, and
Michael Andrews in the 4x100m relay. Not only did that team set a new school record (42.09) they also came within .10 seconds of an NAIA "B" standard.
