SALEM, Ore. – Freshman
Matt Jones tied the NCU record in the 100m on Saturday, highlighting the Beacons performance at the Willamette Invitational.

Jones took 12th place with a time of 11.16, equaling a mark set by teammate
Antonio Campos-Perez last year.
Â
A handful of season-bests were also achieved on Saturday. Campos-Perez ran a 22.66 in the 200m,
Micah Jury ran a 56.91 in the 400m Hurdles and the 4x100m relay team of Joshua Chesnut, Campos-Perez, Jones, and
Michael Andrews posted a 43.43. Also,
Alec Duncan topped his own season best with a 53.93 in the 400m.

Having hit a provisional qualification earlier this season,
Christian Hackney cemented his place on the NAIA roster in the Javelin with an "A" standard qualifying heave of 58.15m. He was the top collegiate finisher and his throw was the best in the Cascade Conference so far this season.
