FOREST GROVE, Ore. - The Northwest Christian University men's team opened the outdoor season on Saturday at the Pacific Preview. Six different athletes earned qualifications for the Cascade Conference championships.
 
Leading the way was junior TJ Wright who hit the NAIA 'B' Standard and was the top collegiate finisher in the 3000m Steeplechase. Wright came in at 9:29.16 and missed the NAIA automatic qualification by just four seconds. Joining him at the CCC championships in the Steeplechase will be sophomore Conner Covey (10:13.35) and junior Garrett Kraal (10:23.94).
 
Others who earned conference CCC invites were sophomore Antonio Campos-Perez in the 200m, Micah Jury in the 110m and 400m hurdles, and Christian Hackney in the javelin.
