EUGENE, Ore. – The visiting Rocky Mountain women's soccer team blanked the Beacons 1-0 in a CCC match on Saturday night, improving to 8-2 in their last 10 contests.

The Battlin' Bears (9-3, 8-2 CCC) held 22-5 shot advantage over the home side, putting 10 on goal. RM also held a slight edge in corner kicks, 7-4.

Sami Heimer scored the only goal on the night, heading in a cross from Lauryn Gamache with just four minutes left in play. Gamache got off six shots on the night, forcing the keepers hand on three.

NCU (1-10, 1-8) struggled offensively, sending just one shot on goal. Keeper
Makenna Hadaller snuffed nine shots on the night for the Beacons.
Saturday was also senior night as NCU said goodbye to
Annie Anderson,
JaNae Haggard,
Brighton Hebisen and
Katelyn Schroeder.Â

Northwest Christian doesn't return to action until Friday October 27th when they travel to La Grande to take on CCC foe Eastern Oregon at 11:30 a.m. Rocky Mountain returns home next Friday, October 20th, hosting Warner Pacific at 3 p.m.
