Yotes Blank NCU, 1-0

EUGENE, Ore. – The Northwest Christian University women's soccer team dropped their sixth straight match on Friday night losing to The College of Idaho 1-0. Just like four of the previous five, the Beacons were just one-goal down.

The Yotes (5-6, 3-3 CCC) were outshot 5-1 in the first half but came through with the game's only strike in the 60th minute when Hailey Woods curled a corner kick into the goal, just inside the near post as it dropped in and was untouched.

NCU (1-9, 1-7 CCC) outshot C of I on the night, 8-6 and both teams took five shots on goal. Makenna Hadaller made four saves in goal for the Beacons while Brittany Houghton recorded the clean sheet for the Yotes with her five-save effort.

The Beacons will return to action on Saturday night, playing host to Rocky Mountain College at 7 pm. The College of Idaho heads to Salem to take on Corban at the same time.
