Box Score EUGENE, Ore. – Shooting 71% and outshooting Northwest 28-18 in the fourth quarter, the Northwest Christian University women's basketball team claimed a 70-60 Cascade Conference victory on Friday night.

NCU held a 31-23 lead at half-time but the Eagles rallied to tie the score at 42-42 after the third quarter. The Beacons went on to shoot 10-for-14 from the field in the last ten minutes to claim the victory and move into a three-way tie for third-place in the CCC.

Heath Alexander said, "I thought we did a great job on the defensive end of the floor tonight. We really rotated well and made it tough for Northwest to score.
Niki Duncan did a great job on the defensive end along with
Monique Thompson and
Katerina Brejchova."

The Beacons (8-6, 5-2 CCC) were led by Thompson, finishing with 17 points.
Conner Borigo (pictured) came off the bench to provide 16 points as the only other player in double-figures. "I was really impressed with Conner tonight," said Alexander. "She competed and finished around the basket and made some clutch free-throws."

Duncan scored nine points as did
Hanna Mack, who added three blocks. Brejchova scored five points but led all players with 12 rebounds.

Northwest (8-10, 3-5) had four starters in double figures led by Hannah Carlson with 12. Miranda Langenhorst scored 11 points before fouling out and both Mariah Stacona and Charmaine Bradford added ten.

NCU returns to the court on Saturday night, playing host to Evergreen. Northwest will head north to Salem, taking on Corban. Both games are slated for 5:30 p.m. tipoffs.Â
