EUGENE, Ore. – Southern Oregon University posted nine blocks on Saturday as the No. 18 ranked Raiders swept NCU, 25-18, 25-21, 25-18.

The Beacons (2-5, 1-1 CCC) held leads in all three sets, but couldn't put enough together to get past the efficient attack of Southern Oregon (4-5, 1-1). The Raiders hit .252 in the game, adding six aces and a 47-41 advantage in digs. NCU was held to .098 hitting.

SOU was led by Taylor Ristvedt. The team's most active attacker collected 15 kills on 30 swings, hitting .300. Nila Lukens added nine kills and nine digs while Emma Gasman hit .462 with seven kills and five blocks. Kiley Barcroft led all players with 14 digs and Lauren McGowne collected a match-best 40 assists.

Kendall Bergsten was in double-figures for kills, collecting 10 while hitting .304.
Taylor Burnett added seven kills and nine digs.
Keri Schwarz and
Maci Beierle each had three block assists as the Beacons collected six total blocks. Beierle also led the Beacons with 24 assists and ten digs.

NCU will return to the court on Tuesday night when they travel to Newberg to face George Fox University at 7 p.m.

The Raiders are off until next Friday when they return home to take on Evergreen in CCC action at 7 p.m.
