The NCU women's soccer team had more shots and equaled the shot-on-goal total, but it was Rocky Mountain College that slipped away with a 3-2 overtime victory on Friday afternoon.

The Beacons took control of the game early on, scoring a pair of goals within a three minute span. In the 15h minute,
Bryce Branagan-Franco put one in the back of the net off an assist from
Maggie McCausland (pictured). Then, in the 18th minute it was McCausland who scored to put the Beacons ahead 2-0.

Rocky Mountain got one back in the 28th minute and the Beacons took a 2-1 lead into the intermission.

The Bears found the equalizer in the 48th minute and nobody scored for the final 42 minutes of regulation.

Just three minutes into overtime, Mhari Smith found herself one-on-one with the keeper to beat and pushed the ball in for the game-winner.

The Beacons return to action on Sunday, traveling to Caldwell to take The College of Idaho at 12:00 pm, MST.
