Box Score EUGENE, Ore.  – A score off a corner kick midway through the second half broke up a tie game and sent Northwest University to victory in the regular season finale, defeating Northwest Christian, 2-1. The loss broke a three-game winning streak for the Beacons.
 
Northwest (10-5-2, 6-3-2 CCC) and Northwest Christian (7-10-1, 4-6-1 CCC) will both advance to the Cascade Collegiate Conference tournament next week. The Eagles own the No. 5 seed while the Beacons make their first ever post-season appearance as the No. 7 seed.
 
NU got things rolling early, striking in the 4^th minute of the game. A combination pass from Madison Nortune and Jalisa Santiago created an opening for Whitney Weaver who scored from five-yards out to give the visitors the quick advantage.
 
The Beacons responded in the 23^rd minute when senior Joceline Howard collected the rebound after her own corner kick and fired a rocket into the side of the net for her second goal of the weekend.
 
The score remained tied until the 67^th minute when Tatyana Reveles' corner kick landed in the dead center of the box, finding the foot of Kortney Hudak who punched in the game-winner.
 
The Eagles finished the game holding a 14-5 advantage in shots. Lauren Hellum got the win in goal, despite not picking up a save in the contest. Katie Hastings had three saves between the pipes for the Beacons.
 
NCU will open up the Cascade Collegiate Conference tournament on Friday morning at 11:00 am, taking on No. 2 seed Southern Oregon University. Northwest will play at 2:00 pm against No. 4 Eastern Oregon. All games will be taking place at NCU's home fields at the Willamalane Sports Complex in Springfield.
