EUGENE, Ore. - The 48th annual alumni game took place on Friday night with the Beacons taking care of the alumni team, 71-64 at the Morse Event Center.

The Beacons were led by sophomore transfer Michael Loomis, scoring 15 points. Jay Mayernik followed with 12 points while Donta Harris chipped in ten.

For the alumni, 2014 All-CCC guard Coleton Baker led the way, scoring 19 points. Jordan Whittenburg added ten points and 2014 All-American honorable mention Spencer Coleman scored nine.

NCU will be back on the court on October 28, traveling to Western Oregon for a scrimmage with the Wolves. The time for that contest is still to-be-announced. The regular season launches on Halloween, with the Beacons hosting The University of British Columbia in NAIA action.
