CALDWELL, Idaho – The Northwest Christian University women's soccer team dropped their seventh straight on Saturday as they were shut out by The College of Idaho, 3-0. The Yotes held a 27-6 advantage in shots, holding the Beacons to just two shots on goal.
C of I (6-8-1, 4-3-1 CCC) got the game-winner in the 33rd minute when Taylor Culver headed home the ball off a corner kick by Kayla Bigelow. They would add one more in the first half when Bigelow got on the board herself in the 46th minute off a cross from Kelly Hardegree-Ullman.
The Yotes added one more goal with just 41 seconds remaining as Brittney Lacey punched in a chip from 20-yards out into the right corner of the net.
Northwest Christian (1-14, 1-7 CCC) was led in the loss by
Karli Vath, taking three shots. She had one of NCU's two shots-on-goal. The other came from
Katelyn Partridge off the bench.
Ali Foster picked up eight saves in the loss for the Beacons.
Northwest Christian will close out the 2011 season on Monday, traveling to Le Grande to face Eastern Oregon University at 2:00 pm.
