Late Comeback Not Enough Against Owls

EUGENE, Ore. – After trailing by as many as 18 points, the Northwest Christian University women's basketball team clawed all the way back to take a late lead before falling to Oregon Tech, 71-66.

The Beacons were down 47-29 with just over 13 minutes to play, but with 3:12 on the clock NCU grabbed the lead, 63-62 on a three-pointer by Katey Monteith (pictured). Monteith would end up scoring 17 points in the second half, fueling the comeback.

Oregon Tech took the lead back on their next possession and never looked back, taking the five-point victory.
