Dana McGowan joined the NCU Volleyball coaching staff in 2016. McGowan played for the Beacons from 2010-2013.
As a player, McGowan set multiple school records which she still owns today including 392 sets played and 1727 digs. She also owns the single season (521) and single match (36) standards for digs.
McGowan was a two-time CCC Player of the Week and was well known as an exemplary student. A three-time Academic All-Conference selection and two-time NAIA Scholar Athlete, coach McGowan was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, NCU's scholar-athlete honor society. She also earned CoSIDA Second-Team Academic All-America honors and is the only NCU volleyball player ever selected for the prestidious award.
Coach McGowan graduated from NCU in 2013 with a degree in accounting.
