Coach Yoon

Youngjin Yoon

Veteran baseball coach Youngjin Yoon joins the inaugural Bushnell Baseball staff as the Pitching Coach.

Hailing from Busan, South Korea, Coach Yoony's hybrid training philosophy merges the conventional power pitching approach used in American baseball with the precision and detail-oriented style popular in Southeast Asia.

Yoon spent over ten seasons with the Lotte Giants in South Korea's highest level of professional baseball, the Korean Baseball Organization. He has worked in the United States since 2009, including multiple stints at Riverside City College as an assistant pitching coach and strength & conditioning coach.

He has also previously coached at NCAA Division I Cal State Bakersfield, and Linn-Benton Community College in Albany and has been with the Corvallis Knights wood-bat collegiate summer team since 2016.

Coach Yoon received his formative education in South Korea, earning his Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology and Sports Psychology from Dong-Ju University and a master's degree in the same disciplines from Shin-Ra University. Additionally, Yoon served as a research scholar in Kinesiology at Michigan State University in 2009-2010.
