Matt Hubbs joined the Bushnell staff as a graduate assistant for the 2024 season and elevated to an assistant coach role for 2025, working primarily with the outfielders.
A respected member of the local coaching community, Hubbs has been coaching with Thurston High School since 2017. Most recently he served as the Head JV coach and was a varsity assistant on the 2023 Oregon 5A State Champion team.
Hubbs is also an assistant coach with the Springfield Drifters, and serves as the Camp Coordinator for Bushnell baseball.
A former standout player at Willamette HS, the Eugene native joined the Air Force in 2020. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies degree from Bushnell in 2023 with concentrations in psychology, criminal justice, and history. He is currently in the Master of Arts in Sports Management program.
