Early Goal, Strong Defense Lead to Third Straight Win

EUGENE, Ore. - The Bushnell men's soccer team scored a goal just two minutes into the contest and the defense did the work for the next 88, lifting the Beacons to a 1-0 victory over Pacific University on Friday evening at Civic Park.

Bushnell improves to 3-0-2 on the season, running their undefeated non-conference streak to 23 straight games, dating back to 2022.

"We did a great job defensively tonight," said Head Coach Joao Ehlers. "Our boys were able to control the tempo of the game and properly manage crucial moments in the match."

Leading the way for the Beacons offensively and defensively was junior Eduardo Rocha-Bernal (pictured). Not only did the center-back help Bushnell hold the Boxers to three shot attempts, but he was also responsible for the game-winning goal in the second minute as he headed in a corner kick from Severin Larsen

The Beacons ended the night with a 9-3 advantage in shots with junior Aaron Lowry earning three saves in goal.

Next Up: Bushnell will aim to complete their fourth straight undefeated non-conference season on Sunday when they welcome Pacific Union College for a clash at 12:30 pm.
