EUGENE, Ore. - The Bushnell men's soccer team completed their fourth consecutive season with an undefeated non-conference slate, wrapping up the 2026 preseason with a 3-0 win over Pacific Union College on Sunday afternoon.
The Beacons (4-0-2) dominated the contest, holding a 19-3 edge in shots while keeping the Pioneers (0-4) without a shot on goal until late in the contest.
Aaron Lowry picked up the win between the pipes, making one save in 78 minutes of work while
Vasco Branco played the final 12 minutes in goal, grabbing one save as well.
Offensively,
James Duggan (pictured) was a big piece to the puzzle, scoring the game-winning goal in the first half and assisting on another score in the second. He got the call for a penalty kick in the 30th minute and fired it home. Just three minutes into the second half, his long pass to
Brady Housley set up another goal, as Housley hit a one-time pass to
Tomas Jujihara, scoring his first goal of the season.
The Beacons added another in the 74th minute when
Teva Mataoa placed a perfect pass to
Liva Rabeary for the strike.
After the game, head coach
Joao Ehlers said, "I am proud of our mentality today. We controlled the match from beginning to end and created a lot of opportunities to score.
The Streak: Bushnell has not lost a non-conference game since 2022, an undefeated streak which has lasted 24 matches. This run began on September 1, 2022 with a 2-1 victory against George Fox University and since that time the team is 19-0-5 in the preseason.
