Â
Oregon Tech collected 13 hits in the opener and got to Bushnell starter
Griffin Sanchez (0-2) with a big fourth-inning as they took a 9-0 lead.
Â
Bushnell had a six-run inning of their own in the fifth, climbing back to within 10-6, but the Owls pulled away late to claim the victory and end an eight-game losing streak.
Â
Max Richards went 4-for-5 for the Beacons with a double while
Jaden Thomson added a solo home run and

Â
GAME FOUR: Bushnell 8, Oregon Tech 2
Â
Wolfe (4-3) threw the best game of his career to close out the series, striking out 13 batters over eight innings as he threw just 88 pitches and giving up single runs in the first two innings before six scoreless frames.
Â
Trailing 2-0, the Beacons tied things up in the bottom of the third inning with a pair of unearned runs as
Caleb Richter scored on an error and
Nigel Fahland came home on a
Mason Millar single.
Â
The game remained knotted at 2-2 as OIT's Marcos Ulloa-Ford (2-1) also threw a strong game before Bushnell got to him in the bottom of the seventh.
Nate Stevens made it 3-2 with a solo home run before Thomson posted a grand slam for his third home run of the weekend.
Danny Womack added a solo shot of his own in the eighth inning, giving Bushnell ten homers on the weekend.
Â
Holding a strong lead, Wolfe gave way to a returning
Tyler Biddinger for the ninth inning. The senior threw for the first time this season, striking out one batter in a hitless ninth inning. Â
Â
UP NEXT: The Beacons (15-15, 7-10 CCC) remain home next weekend for a big rivalry series against Corban University (11-17, 7-9). The Warriors, who are in the midst of a four-game series with No. 7 LC State, have lost five straight but hold a half-game lead over the Beacons for fourth-place in the CCC. Â
