CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Bushnell women's basketball team has been predicted to return to the postseason in 2026-2027 as the Beacons were selected to finish eighth in the CCC Preseason Coaches Poll released on Thursday.
The Beacons missed out on the Cascade Conference tournament by one game last season, finishing ninth at 5-15. With 47 points in the poll, Bushnell is firmly ahead of ninth-place Warner Pacific (31) in the eyes of the coaches.
The College of Idaho was selected as the preseason favorite, receiving five first-place votes and 107 points to lead a competitive field heading into the upcoming season. The CCC ended up sending six teams to the NAIA National Tournament: Corban, Eastern Oregon, Southern Oregon, Oregon Tech, College of Idaho and Lewis-Clark State. LC State advanced the farthest, reaching the NAIA National Championship final site.
Southern Oregon University finished sixth in the preseason poll with 69 points, followed by Northwest University with 49. After the Beacons and Warner Pacific, Evergreen State (21) and Walla Walla University (18) rounded out the poll.
