EUGENE, Ore. – The Bushnell women's basketball team got back on the winning track on Saturday night, holding Walla Walla to just 27% shooting in a 71-46 victory.

The Beacons (5-11, 3-5 CCC) had their best defensive scoring and field goal percentage effort of the season, while also out-rebounding the Wolves 55-35, including 19 offensive boards. Every rostered player saw the floor for at least eight minutes in the game as the Bushnell bench out-scored the Wolves reserves, 37-10.

Chad Meadors said, "It was a good weekend for our defense. Offensively we pounded the ball inside, and moved the ball well with a season-high 23 assists. Sharing the ball is an area we are continuing to grow in, and it was great to get everybody in there to compete tonight."

Maddie Gerhart led the way for the Beacons with 13 points, adding seven rebounds while
Sabrina Flowers hit a trio of three-pointers to finish her night with nine points. Seven different bench players got into the scorebook, led by eight points apiece from
Jaycee Stiegeler and
Ellis Mastel.
Dayvis Key posted seven and a pair of blocks and
Karlee VonMoos chipped in six points and a game-high eight rebounds in 12 minutes of work.

The Wolves (2-12, 0-8) were led by Jaylo Bello, scoring a game-high 20 points. Delaney Gunther came off the bench to score seven while Brooklyn Coe and Meghan Rasmussen each added six.

UP NEXT: The Beacons head back on the road next weekend and will have a tough test on Friday, traveling to face The College of Idaho (12-4, 6-2) at 4:30 pm Pacific Time. Â
