EUGENE, Ore. – The Bushnell women's basketball team dropped a road contest to the College of Idaho on Friday evening, 69-53.
Â
The Beacons (5-12, 3-6 CCC) recovered from a 7-0 start to the game by the Yotes to play an even first quarter, but CI went on a 10-0 run to open the second quarter, and held serve for the remainder of the contest.
Â
Bushnell held their own defensively, forcing 15 turnovers with ten steals, and held College of Idaho to 41% shooting, but were able to hit just 31% of their own shots as the Yotes ended up leading the game from wire to wire.
Â
Head Coach
Chad Meadors said, "The Yotes are obviously very good and they are playing at their best and they certainly showed that tonight. I give our team a lot of credit. They played so hard and it is really impressive. Defensively we were solid but we made too many mistakes and didn't execute well enough."
Â
Senor
Ayden Krupke hit a trio of treys in the game and finished with a team-high 13 points and a season-best ten rebounds for the double-double.
Ciena Tumoine added eight points and three steals while Kenzie Pedersen followed with seven points.

The Yotes (13-4, 7-2), who are tied for second-place in the CCC, were led by a game-high 14 points from Mia Austin while Maiya Hardy scored 12. Kylie Waltermeyer scored nine points and led the Yotes with ten rebounds.
Â
