McMINNVILLE, Ore. – The Bushnell baseball team dropped their final mid-week non-conference showdown of the season on Tuesday, falling to Linfield University, 6-4. The Wildcats avenged an earlier loss to the Beacons in Springfield.
Â
Albert Jennings tried to give the Beacons a little early momentum with a solo homer in the top of the first inning, his seventh of the season, but the Wildcats scored two runs in each of the first two innings to establish a lead of their own.
Â
Bushnell added single runs in the sixth, eighth, and ninth, including a home run from
Jameson Hussey, but it wasn't enough to catch the Wildcats.
Â
Tyler Biddinger (0-2) took the loss for the Beacons, allowing three earned runs over the first three innings. Six relievers saw action in the game with
Tanner Won,
Trevor Hammond, and
Loreto Siniscalchi each posting scoreless frames. Siniscalchi struck out a pair of batters in the eighth.

UP NEXT: Bushnell (27-7, 17-4 CCC) returns to Cascade Conference action in Keiser, Oregon this weekend as they travel to face Corban University (7-23, 3-16 CCC) for a four-game set on Friday and Saturday.
