CORVALLIS, Ore. – A strong series 3-1 series win over the College of Idaho, Bushnell was home to both the Cascade Collegiate Conference Pitcher and Player of the Week on Monday.

Braden Proud was named the CCC Pitcher of the Week. The 6'1" righty had an incredible start in game two of the C of I series, which Bushnell won, 5-2. Proud pitched seven strong innings, allowing no earned runs, striking out seven batters and allowing just three singles. Proud lowered his ERA to 2.64, the second-lowest in the CCC.

Cade Crist had a sensational week for the Beacons, batting .389 in the four-game series, hitting five home runs and collecting 13 runs batted in. He posted a pair of multi-homer games and in the third game of the series, tied Bushnell's single-game record with six runs batted. Â

Proud and Crist are the first baseball players to earn CCC weekly honors for the Beacons this season and Proud becomes the first Beacon to win CCC Pitcher of the Week since 2022.

This weekend the Beacons (20-4, 10-3 CCC) come home to Hamlin Sports Complex where they will host Warner Pacific University (6-12, 5-8) for a four-game CCC series, starting Friday at 2:00 pm. The Beacons head into the series tied for second-place in the CCC, one game behind No. 24 Lewis-Clark State College.
