OLYMPIA, Wash.  – The Bushnell men's basketball team played 14 different players, had five players in double figures, and scored 35 points off the bench on Friday, defeating The Evergreen State College 90-65 in Cascade Collegiate Conference action.

With the win, the Beacons (11-14, 7-12 CCC) move into sole possession of eighth-place in the Cascade Collegiate Conference, putting a game-and-a-half between themselves as Warner Pacific for the final spot in the CCC tournament with three games remaining.

The Beacons executed on both ends of the floor on Friday, shooting 47% from the field and out-rebounding the Geoducks 39-33. After climbing to a 35-29 lead at the intermission, Bushnell put ESC in the rear view with a 55-point second half in which they shot 58%.

With five players in double-figures, Bushnell had plenty of athletes shine. In the first half, it was
Squeeky Johnson, posting all 15 of his points as the Beacons established their dominance. In the second half
Kaleb Burnett took over, scoring 12 of his 18. Burnett was 10-for-10 at the charity stripe, the most free throws without a miss for a Beacon in 15 years. As a team, Bushnell went 15-for-16.

Also in double figures was
Turner Livingston, coming off the bench to score 13.
Cory Johnson added 11 points while
Ashton Harvey added ten. Burnett and Johnson had seven rebounds apiece to lead the visitors while Burnett also collected four assists and two steals.

Evergreen (2-20, 2-17) was led by Jourdan Joseph who led all players with 19 points. Solomon Campbell added ten points and a game-high nine rebounds.

The Beacons will close out their final regular-season road trip on Sunday, traveling to face Northwest University at 5:30 pm.
