CSC 2025 Men's Soccer Academic All-America Team
EUGENE, Ore. – Junior
Omar Barajas will put one more award in his trophy case from an historic season with the Beacons men's soccer team, earning College Sports Communicators (CSC) Second-Team Academic All-America honors.
Â
Selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), the Academic All-America program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom, with a set of qualification standards including game-play minimums and GPA requirements.
Â
Barajas becomes Bushnell's first men's soccer player ever to earn Academic All-America status, doing so on the heels of a season in which he led the Beacons to their first postseason appearance in eight years. He scored a Bushnell record 12 goals and 30 points on the season and was a First-Team All-Cascade Collegiate Conference selection.
Â
Three men from the Cascade Collegiate Conference were voted in, and all were placed on the Second Team. Barajas was joined by Eastern Oregon sophomore Defender Jacob Russell, and College of Idaho senior Forward Eric Hornung.
Â
Barajas is an accounting major with a 3.59 Grade Point Average. He is the first CSC Academic All-America selection for Bushnell in any sport in two years.
