Beacon Men Picked Sixth in CCC Coaches Poll

2025-2026 CCC Men's Basketball Preseason Poll

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Bushnell men's basketball team has been picked to finish sixth, according to a poll conducted this week of the Cascade Collegiate Conference coaches.
 
The Beacons return all five starters from their 2024-2025 team and were shown a sign of respect as they were picked two spots higher than the finished last season, taking eighth place with a 13-16 overall record and 10-12 mark in CCC play.
 
College of Idaho received eight first-place votes with 117 total points in the poll and was picked to win their sixth consecutive conference title. C of I won 2025 regular-season and tournament titles before going on to claim the NAIA National Championship as well, going 35-2 including a 21-1 mark in the CCC.
 
Southern Oregon University followed in second place with two first-place votes and 103 points. Lewis-Clark State College ranked third with 93 points, while Oregon Tech landed fourth with 88 points. Eastern Oregon University picked up the final first-place vote and totaled 80 points to round out the top five.
 
Bushnell University earned sixth with 67 points, followed by Corban University (51 points), Northwest University (47 points), and Warner Pacific University (42 points). Walla Walla University (20 points) and The Evergreen State College (18 points) closed out the preseason rankings.
 
The Beacons are set to begin their season on October 31 at the Providence Classic, taking on Providence. The team will also host their annual Alumni Game on Sunday, October 19, tipping off at 4:00 pm.
