RACE RESULTS | PORTLAND, Ore. – The Bushnell women's cross country team got their first look at the CCC championship course on Friday morning and ran their first official 6000-meter race of the season as they competed at the CCC Preview Meet at Rose City Golf Course.
The Beacons had their best team finish of the season, taking fifth-place. Bushnell scored 135 points and were behind No. 9-ranked College of Idaho (21), NCAA Division I University of Portland (46), Eastern Oregon (66), and Corban (111).
Leading the way for the Beacons with the second-fastest 6k of her career was senior
Kaitlin Cook (pictured, right), taking 29th place at 24:58.95). She was followed closely behind by
Marae Paggio (pictured, left) in 30th (25:00.66).
For five of the six Bushnell runners, this was their first collegiate 6000-meter cross country race. Cadance Smith took 37th (25:56.15),
Mariah Anderson finished 47th (27:16.75) and
Sidney Lane claimed 54th (28:39.95) to round out the scoring for the Beacons. Also competing for Bushnell was
Anna Stone (56th, 28:50.94).

Kyle Will said, "Today is just another step in our journey as we continue to grow as a team and grow towards the standards that we are establishing as a program."
After back-to-back weekends with races, Bushnell will take a week off before returning to action on October 5th at the Willamette Invitational.
