REDDING, Calif. – The Bushnell men's soccer team picked up their first shutout of the season on Sunday and ran their non-conference undefeated streak to 12 straight, defeating Simpson University, 2-0.

Bushnell (4-0-1) out-shot the Red Hawks 14-6 and
William Haberfield made three saves in route to his first shutout.

"Our boys had a great game," said head coach
Joao Ehlers. "We controlled the tempo of the match from beginning to end and deserved the win. I am pleased with everyone's contributions."

The Beacons scored one goal in each half, with the game-winner coming in the 28th minute as
Caleb Premo (pictured) scored off an assist from
Francisco Cayolla. It was Premo's second goal of the season and 11th of his career, placing him one back from third-place on Bushnell's career list.

Ian Palma went on to add an insurance goal in the 63rd minute, taking the pass from
Jesus Aguilar.

Bushnell closed their second consecutive 4-0-1 record in the non-conference schedule and they are one of two CCC schools still undefeated (College of Idaho, 2-0-1). The Beacons are now 9-0-3 in their last 12 non-conference games, dating back to 2022.

The Beacons come home next week to start the Cascade Collegiate Conference circuit on Thursday, taking on Corban University (1-4) at 7:30 pm.
