LEWISTON, Idaho – Lewis-Clark State College, ranked No. 5 in the NAIA, secured a four-game sweep over the visiting Bushnell University baseball team on Sunday, winning 13-2 and 11-4 to conclude the Cascade Collegiate Conference regular season.

The Warriors (35-9, 21-3 CCC) conclude the regular season with a perfect 20-0 record at home and an NAIA-leading 16-game winning streak. The Beacons (26-24, 12-12) will be the No. 4 seed entering the CCC Tournament, taking on the regular season champions and host, LC State, on Saturday, May 4 at 4:00 p.m.

Game 1: LC State 13, Bushnell 2 (7 innings)

LC State had six extra-base hits in the opener, including a pair of home runs by Carter Booth. The Warriors scored three runs in four of six innings on their way to a run-rule victory.

Hiroyuki Yamada (4-1) pitched the first five innings, giving up two runs on four hits with five strikeouts. Jace Hanson gave up one hit over the final two frames.

Isaiah Hart drove in both runs for the Beacons with a solo homer in the second and a squeeze bunt in the third.
Jordan Wilson recorded three hits, including two doubles.

Game 2: LC State 11, Bushnell 4

The Warriors went up 8-0 after a five-run sixth but the Beacons used a four-run seventh to cut the deficit in half. LC put the series away with three more runs in the eighth, including another home run off the bat of Booth.

Kyle Casperson went 5-for-5 at the plate, his second five-hit game of the season. The senior catcher brought in the first run for the Beacons in the four-run seventh with an infield single.
Albert Jennings followed with a two-run single and
Jameson Hussey finished off the scoring with an RBI-single.

Decker Stedman (3-1) got the win on the mound for the Warriors, throwing five scoreless innings.
